The US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is reviewing the use of electronic gadgets during takeoff or landing. Currently aviation rules make it mandatory to switch off electronic gadgets like kindle, laptop, iPads etc. during aircraft takeoff and landing as they interfere with aviation signals.
However as per a report of the New York Times the FAA is now reconsidering the rule by testing these electronic gadgets on the planes during the forbidden time period.
With more and more new electronic gadgets flooding the market the whole situation needs to be reviewed completely keeping the products in mind. This was not done earlier because of the expense and labor involved.
According to Laura J Brown of FAA, the new technology based gadgets have not been tested for aviation interference and as such FAA needs to take a fresh view on the use of electronic gadgets other than mobile phones on aircrafts. If the rule is reconsidered then passengers would be allowed to use their e readers and tablets without switching them off during takeoff and landing. This would be welcome by US travelers who by the end of 2012 would be proud owners of more than 40 million kindles or nooks and 60 million tablets and iPads.

Whoever said that men cannot live without their electronic gadgets couldn't have been more correct. If the man in your life is the kind who waits for the latest technology to turn up so he can buy it off the shelves, this list will probably have some of the electronic gadgets that are on his wish list. The first on the list will undoubtedly be the Apple iPhone 4S. You can't go wrong when you gift this phone which is loaded with all of trademark Apple strengths and significant OS improvements like Siri and iCloud. The iTunes App market for Apple adds immense value to all of their products.

For a music lover, the Apple iPod offers a comprehensive range across prices, data storage and features. Next on the list is the PlayStation 3 Bundle which is an entertainment hub in itself. Not only can you play games on the PS3 Bundle, you can also watch Blu-Ray and DVD films, surf the Internet through built-in WiFi and use the PlayStation Move Bundle to co-ordinate your body movements to the game. 2012 is the year of the tablets with all major companies vying for the lucrative tablet market. While Apple has already released the iPad 3, Amazon and Samsung won't be far behind in launching their own tablets.

Philips is pushing their grooming gadget business in India with an appeal to men that is hard to resist. Their advertising campaign is trying to convince Indian men that their women want them to be more well groomed and stylish. The company offers a range of male grooming appliances, and the TV commercials use humor as a tactic to get their message across.

Philips decided to launch this campaign as part of a shift in their global marketing strategy towards focusing more on health and well being. Personal grooming was identified as being one of the major areas that could drive this shift, and the company hopes to use it to project a more youthful image. Philips has a product portfolio in India which offers both men's and women's hair removal products.
