Philips is pushing their grooming gadget business in India with an appeal to men that is hard to resist. Their advertising campaign is trying to convince Indian men that their women want them to be more well groomed and stylish. The company offers a range of male grooming appliances, and the TV commercials use humor as a tactic to get their message across.
Philips decided to launch this campaign as part of a shift in their global marketing strategy towards focusing more on health and well being. Personal grooming was identified as being one of the major areas that could drive this shift, and the company hopes to use it to project a more youthful image. Philips has a product portfolio in India which offers both men's and women's hair removal products.

If you have a used desktop gadget to trade in, Apple has a new offer for you. The company is now offering anyone with an old Apple gadget lying around their house the chance to trade it in for a gift card. This promotion is part of a new recycling effort, and the company is offering gift cards in a range of values depending on the condition and type of gadget.
For example, a first gen 32 GB iPad with WiFi will get you a gift card worth about $180, if the device is in perfect condition. If the device is slight scuffed, on the other hand, you will get a gift card worth about $115. There is a trade-in calculator on the Apple website that allows you to calculate these values.
